ForgeMarket 0.1.2 supports the native-dialog generations starting at Minecraft Java 1.21.6 on qualified Paper, Purpur and Folia builds. Both editions use the same compatibility layer. See Tested builds and limits for the exact completed checks; upstream alpha/beta builds remain experimental.
Use Java 21 for 1.21.6 through 1.21.11 and Java 25 for the listed 26.x builds. Match the client to the server, with a client that implements native dialogs. Minecraft 1.21.5 and earlier cannot render these screens. Spigot, Forge/Fabric and proxy software are not supported hosts. This is not a promise that future releases or every intermediate server build will work.
Database driver supplied by the host
ForgeMarket 0.1.2 uses the SQLite JDBC driver included with the qualified Paper-family host. The plugin adds no separate dependency downloader and does not remove operating-system binaries from the server installation. Keep the server launcher and its libraries complete. See Database requirements.
Required only on Minecraft 1.21.6
Minecraft 1.21.6 needs the setting below so rapid shop-menu navigation does not trigger the server's command-spam protection. You do not need to enable the vanilla /dialog command.
Stop the server and edit the existing commands section in the server's spigot.yml. Set these two values, merging into that section rather than duplicating it:
commands:
enable-spam-exclusions: true
spam-exclusions:
- '/fmarket _dialog '
Keep other command settings. Review existing exclusions before preserving them, because enabling this setting activates every listed prefix. The entry above exempts only ForgeMarket's internal menu-button command. It does not disable ordinary chat/command protection. Without it, rapid menu navigation can cause Minecraft to kick non-operator players for command spam. Forged, expired, repeated and wrong-player button requests still fail ForgeMarket's session checks.
Start the server fully after editing. The plugin does not rewrite your server configuration. No spam exclusion is needed on 1.21.7 or newer.
ForgeMarket creates plugins/ForgeMarket/native-dialogs-1.21.6.zip on 1.21.6 to add Player shops to both the pause screen and Quick Actions. This generated datapack keeps existing entries from other plugins. Do not delete it while the server is running.
Updates and existing item data
Stop and back up the complete plugin data folder and corresponding world/player files, replace the old ForgeMarket JAR with one new edition, then start fully. Do not hot-load or use Bukkit /reload. Database layout and wallet semantics are unchanged in 0.1.2.
Never downgrade the Minecraft server after saving newer item data. Supporting multiple versions means a fresh or forward-upgraded installation can use its qualified build; it does not make newer item components readable by older Minecraft versions.
Tested scope
Automated checks cover menu registration, input, item previews, trading and a complete restart. They do not establish visual rendering on every client. Existing real-client screenshots were captured with 0.1.0 on Paper/Lunar 1.21.11. The 26.x runs use translated 1.21.11 clients through ViaVersion/ViaBackwards 5.12.0; native 26.x rendering is still unverified.
