- Back up and stop your test server. Use an exact build from Tested builds and limits: Java 21 for the tested 1.21.x builds; Java 25 for the listed 26.x builds. On 1.21.6, apply the required menu-button setting before starting.
- Put one JAR in
plugins/:ForgeMarket-free-0.1.2-SNAPSHOT.jarorForgeMarket-premium-0.1.2-SNAPSHOT.jar. - Start fully. Look for
ForgeMarket Free readyorForgeMarket Premium readyand confirm no plugin error. - Join and use
/fmarket. Both editions store data inplugins/ForgeMarket/. - Set your funding policy and fees before inviting players. With the default separate wallet, an operator grants funds using
/fmarket credit PlayerName 100.00.
The plugin does not mint money on login. Vault, an external database, Donut SMP, a client mod and a resource pack are not mandatory. Spigot, Minecraft 1.21.5 and earlier, Forge/Fabric and proxy software are not supported plugin hosts. Native dialogs require a capable client. Only the listed server/client combinations have been checked.
Do not install both editions together. To upgrade, stop, back up the whole plugins/ForgeMarket/ directory, replace the Free JAR with Premium and restart. To return to Free, follow the same process: existing shops, stock, receipts and wallets are retained, but Premium functions are disabled and Free creation limits apply. Extra existing owner shops can still be managed. Do not downgrade Minecraft itself after storing newer item data.
Native menu setup
Both editions support qualified Paper-family builds from 1.21.6 onward, including the listed 1.21.7, 1.21.8, 1.21.9, 1.21.10, 1.21.11 and 26.x builds. Minecraft 1.21.6 needs the internal-button spam exclusion documented in Native menu compatibility. Newer supported versions need no menu-button exclusion. Use Java 21 for 1.21.x and Java 25 for 26.x.
