Compatibility & server builds

DungeonForge · 1.2.0

DungeonForge 1.2.0 uses a Paper 1.20.1 baseline and Java 17-compatible bytecode. The tested 1.20/1.21 servers use Java 21; the tested 26.x servers use Java 25.

Probes test generated terrain, start-floor access, native NPC spawning with skin/equipment, compatibility constants, attribute identity, bosses, and cleanup. Player checks on Paper 1.20.1 and Folia 1.21.11 cover menus, language switching, linked NPC entry, two-player runs, and returns. Optional integrations and load testing remain separate.

Alpha/beta builds are experimental. A passing probe does not turn Paper 26.3 alpha into a stable release.

Supported software: Paper, Folia, and Purpur on qualified builds. This JAR requires Paper APIs and is not compatible with plain Spigot/CraftBukkit, Sponge, BungeeCord, Velocity, Minestom, or native mod/Bedrock runtimes. Mohist and Arclight are unqualified.

Folia requires setup: reserve unused arena/builder areas in an already loaded secondary world. Read the Folia setup guide.

Modern servers use native mannequins; older qualified servers use armor-stand NPCs with player-head skins and equipment. Never downgrade world/item data created by a newer Minecraft version.

Future builds

Use the exact tested builds above when choosing a server. Future builds and Minecraft 1.7 through 1.19 are not automatically supported.
