DungeonForge 1.1.0 — Folia, Wilderness Rifts & NPC Studio

21 September 2026 · Earlier 1.1.0 qualification

  • Folia arena engine: owned chunk construction, verified encounter regions, persistent plots, asynchronous party transfers, and protected slot recovery.
  • Native NPC Studio: humanoid skins, equipment, dialogue, permissions, and dungeon-entry actions without Citizens.
  • Natural wilderness entrances in three themes, weighted dungeon profiles, world/biome controls, a discovery journal, and compass attunement.
  • Folia builder, prefabs, template capture, spectator previews, and an asynchronous tutorial camera.
  • Entity-owned boss bars and player effects, cross-region checkpoint recovery, and dodgeable meteor impacts.
  • Atomic economy withdrawals, synchronized dungeon models, per-run configuration snapshots, and atomic dungeon saves.
  • 51 automated regression tests on each of three API targets, plus the listed live server checks.

Folia support is enabled. Follow the required plot configuration. Version 1.2.0 uses mannequins where available and armor-stand NPCs on older qualified builds. External integrations require their own compatible builds.

Interrupted dungeon recovery

Before entry, player-returns.yml saves each player's original world UUID, location, and game mode. Entry, exit, and checkpoint transfers run asynchronously in order. The run starts after entry completes; terrain cleanup waits for successful player returns. Failed returns keep the arena reserved and retry after 20 seconds.

Disconnecting keeps the saved return. On rejoin, the plugin restores the player rather than resuming the interrupted run. If the original world is unloaded, load it and rejoin again; a different world with the same name does not replace it. Unreadable recovery data is preserved and blocks new entry. Do not delete recovery files as a routine reset.

Previous update: 1.0.12 preview

20 September 2026 · Earlier 1.0.12 preview

Added

  • Functional secret, trigger, and safe-zone area markers with in-game controls.
  • Secret discovery tracking in the victory summary.
  • Optional area messages and administrator-authored commands.
  • Persistent snapshots for the seven builder-tool slots and restoration across common exit and recovery paths.

Fixed

  • Dungeon imports retain their gameplay configuration.
  • A run can only claim its completion callback once, preventing repeated completion rewards.
  • Temporary-world cleanup verifies ownership, evacuation, unload success, and filesystem boundaries.
  • Shutdown cleanup avoids creating new scheduled reset tasks.
  • Traps respect their cooldown and enabled state.
  • Builder number-key, drag, and offhand movement paths are protected; exit text now correctly says the session is saved.

See the current release’s verified runtime matrix. The earlier preview did not include Folia support.
